ELB
In 2002, I designed my personal logo to represent my design style: a problem-solver who is complex yet simple, detail-oriented, confident with tools, and a bit lucky. Bold and unique, it reflects who I am. You can explore the full portfolio article by clicking the B Design button below.
First freelance
In 2005, while picking up my printed business cards, a staff member admired my line illustrations so much that it led to my first freelance project. Learn more in my portfolio article by clicking the Illustrations button below.
Flood Printing
At NMP, I usually start projects with one of our standard templates—but this one was different. I designed it entirely from scratch, incorporating flood print techniques throughout. It quickly became one of my favorite and most rewarding projects. Learn more in my portfolio article by clicking the Pizza button below.
Board game
In 2008, I collaborated with a remote team during a major windstorm that left us without power for days—but we still delivered on time and with quality. Learn more in my portfolio article by clicking the Girls button below.

Sub Box
At NMP, I worked on several sub-box projects, though there was clear potential for many more—especially with businesses featuring “sub” in their name or branding. Web design
Before diving into UX/UI and Figma for website design, I learned to design and code in Dreamweaver. It wasn’t my strongest skill, given the coding requirements and the many steps needed to build a single site. Learn more in my portfolio article by clicking the Blueprint button below.
Interactive site
I learned to create motion and interactive websites using Adobe Flash. For this UI concept, I implemented an iTunes-style scroll and a storyboard to guide the user experience (UX). Learn more in my portfolio article by clicking the Food button below.
Fun times
Work is fulfilling, but I like to connect, play, create art, eat, watch, and enjoy life as seen below.
Three things I’m most proud of:1. Earning my associate’s degree
Out of more than 200 students, only 50 of us made it to graduation. It took a lot of persistence, teamwork, and late nights — but we stuck it out and crossed that finish line together.2. The Rapid Fired Pizza project
I got to design an entirely new kind of box for my employer, making sure everything from the traps to the bleeds lined up perfectly. The smaller cutout helped reduce material costs and made production run more smoothly — a slight design change that had a significant impact.3. Attending my first three community meetups
Even though we lived in different parts of the world and had never met before, we clicked instantly. Our first meetups were in Columbus, Ohio, for the first two years, and in Marietta, Ohio, the third year. It’s incredible how quickly a group of strangers can become a genuine community of friends.
